Artist Recreates the ‘Star Wars’ Trilogy With Paper

Artist Eric Power has created a unique version of the “Star Wars” trilogy using paper animation. Jeremy Messsersmith, a Minneapolis musician, has given the paper trilogy new depth and pathos by adding to the video his new song about Tatooine. (‘Twin suns of Tatooine / taught me everything I know.’) The video is only about two minutes in length. But it still manages to fit in many of the key points from Episodes 4, 5, and 6. The famous trench run, Han’s carbon freezing, and Luke’s battles with Darth Vader are all there. True, there’s no Jabba, and Chewbacca gets far too little screen time. Maybe in the extended cut.
