Disneyland Trip/NFFC Disneyana Show and Sale

We took our grandson to Disneyland for the MLK holiday weekend. Friday was a very good day to go on rides and we only had to wait a few minutes for each ride. As usual, the Park was great.

We also went to the NFFC Disneyana Show and Sale on Sunday. I was a bit disappointed that none of the usual autograph signers were there such as Margaret Kerry as Tinkerbell. I had promised some folks at work that I would try to get them autographs and pictures, but had to settle for the already signed 8x10s available at the show.

I love the Disneyana shows but have to offer an observation. I am interested in seeing all of the vintage historical items from the inception of Disneyland through today. However, the show seems to be primarily populated by Disney pin vendors. I think the pins look cool and all that, but consider them personally to be the crack cocaine of Disneyland. I was bitten by the pin collecting bug a few years ago and it wasn’t until I saw how many pins I had that I realized I had to go cold turkey. I still like to look at them, but am very hesitant to buy them.

Typically the January show is smaller than the July show, so hopefully, we will see more vintage Disneyana in July along with some of our favorite guest signers.

Here are some pictures from our trip.
